2015 was a huge year for Homeside Financial. Between winning #1 Best Place to Work, adding over 100 new individuals who represent the nation's top talent, flourishing and expanding into vital new markets, and crushing growth and revenue goals, Homeside took the year by storm.
Walt Disney said “Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it, they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.” This resonates with the mission we created in 2015 of striving to achieve “Raving Fans!” We have kept the customer top-of-mind in every aspect of our business.
So, despite the holidays being a time to relax and reflect on the successes achieved in 2015, we at Homeside are also looking forward to being better than ever in the New Year! We asked a few of our employees what their resolutions and goals were for the upcoming year:
“Eliminate “I” from our alphabet. There is no “I” in team so in 2016, let’s eliminate it. The goal is to continue to foster and build upon our amazing “Homeside Hero” culture that rewards and encourages teamwork, collaboration, selflessness, and promotes synergy. As Henry Ford once said “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is a progress. Working together is a success”.”
-Chad Beldon, VP of Sales (Columbus, OH)
“I will rise to the top. I will dominate in all. Production, recruitment and be the best I have ever been in 2016!!!!!”
-Shireen Manteghi, VP & Cleveland Branch Manager (Cleveland, OH)
“My new year’s resolution is not make a new year’s resolution at all, because if you think about it, we never keep them. What I want to continue doing is keep growing in my Faith and volunteer more to help the less fortunate in my community. My professional goal is to grow my business and be on the list of top producers.”
-Jaime Cartagena, Loan Officer (Reading, PA)
“Find a better work/life balance. Working smarter to grow my business while allowing more family time.”
-Jason Marsh, AVP of Sales (Cleveland, OH)
“My 2016 professional goal would be to help our purchase team expand and exceed expectations. My personal goal/resolution is to do more fundraising and charitable activities with my husband to help our local community here. As Mark Twain said, ‘The secret to getting ahead is getting started.’”
-Sarah Rilling, Lending Coordinator (Tampa, FL)
“My goal is to always be as successful as possible and to continue my career progression as diligently as possible. But this coming year, I want to do both by helping my co-workers and teammates become better and help them to accomplish as much professionally that I possibly can help them with. I would like to show them that when working together we can all accomplish great things!”
-Brad Lane, AVP & Senior Loan Officer (Cleveland, OH)
“My New Year’s resolution is to build the largest Homeside DTC branch.”
-Zach Bosson, VP & Baltimore Branch Manager (Baltimore, MD)
“To provide an excellent loan origination service while educating my Hispanic borrowers throughout the process. I feel a lot of them come in wanting to purchase or refinance without any knowledge of the “NEW way of doing things”. So for 2016 I’m thinking about doing som seminars in the Hispanic community to help them achieve America’s dream of home ownership.”
-Marilynn Yomitanzan, Loan Officer (Tampa, FL)
“My goal for 2016 is to help ensure every banker on my team achieves their goals and experiences success.”
-Rory Driscoll, VP & Columbus Branch Manager (Columbus, OH)
“For 2016 I am going for: do it or do not, there is no try. Also I would like to finish my year off by entering a very crowded elevator of strangers, facing everyone and saying, "I bet you are all wondering why I gathered you here today" with a straight face. My other favorite is a quote by James Dean in which I try to live by everyday: ‘Dream as if you will live forever; live as if you will die today.’ This quote always has helped me never take anything for granted, and there is never a reason to be negative.”
-Susan Capitano, Loan Officer (Tampa, FL)
“My professional goal for the new year is to continue to grow my personal business by at least 33% in 2016!”
-Chris Kirkpatrick, AVP & Loan Officer (Columbus, OH)
“In 2016 I want all outside loan officers to close at least $10 million in sales!"
-John Menhart, Loan Officer (Columbus, OH)
“My professional goal is to create a major footprint for Homeside Financial within the Philadelphia marketplace & surrounding areas. “If we build it they will come” Personal Goal – Is to take my kids on a real vacation. We take lots of weekend trips, however, I’m always so busy working so I ship them off for 1-2wk vacations without me… I really want to commit to one week/year traveling with them!”
-Iris Crespo, VP & Branch Manager (Philadelphia, PA)
We crushed our 2015 goals, so let us help you accomplish yours!
